The Aurelia is the Faustina collection's most-wanted dress — a pleated chiffon midi built for weddings, the opera, and dinners that matter. A tailored bodice with a high keyhole cutout meets a full, knife-pleated skirt that moves like water and holds its line through the evening.
Cut from a substantial recycled-chiffon that drapes without clinging, the dress is fully lined through the bodice and skirt, so it reads opaque in daylight and flash alike. Flutter sleeves add softness; a concealed back zip keeps the silhouette clean. Engineered in Rome, finished by hand.

For evening, pair Porpora or Vermiglio with gold drop earrings, a satin clutch and a barely-there heel. For daytime weddings, Travertine and Avorio love a flat sandal and a fine-gold cuff. Add the Faustina silk scarf at the neck or wrist to complete the look.
Aurelia™Select color · Select sizeRome dressed its women in drapery and red. The Aurelia answers in pleated chiffon — a dress with the bearing of an empress and the ease of a modern wardrobe.
Designed by Hugo Caesar Tassi as the cornerstone of the Faustina collection, the Aurelia takes the classical column — fluted, vertical, exact — and reads it as a knife-pleated skirt. The keyhole cutout at the chest is a single, deliberate gesture: enough to feel modern, never more than the occasion allows.
It is a wedding-guest dress, an occasion dress, a midi dress you reach for when the room matters. In eight colors drawn from the imperial palette — the Tyrian Porpora, the fresco-red Vermiglio, deep Cornelia, bronze-patina Verde Antico, stone Travertine, near-black Basalt, imperial Cobalto and soft Avorio — it is built to be kept, not discarded with the season.
Pleats that hold. Heat-set knife pleats keep their line through a long evening and a folded suitcase alike — shake it out and it falls straight.
Lined, so you're covered. A full recycled-chiffon lining through the bodice and skirt means no slip, no surprises in photographs, and a smooth line over the waist.
Considered details. A concealed invisible zip, a gold-trim cutout edge, a fixed strap that stays put, French-finished seams inside.
Made responsibly. Cut from recycled polyester chiffon and produced ethically — an heirloom-grade dress with a lighter footprint.
What she said after wearing it

Vermiglio in person is a rich, grown-up red — not orange at all. The flutter sleeves move beautifully and the cutout is tasteful, sits high on the chest.
The skirt and waist are true to size and gorgeous. The bodice runs a touch small in the bust; I'd take the M next time. Quality is excellent for the price.
Fully lined, holds its shape all evening, and the recycled chiffon doesn't cling. Travertine is a perfect warm cream for daytime events.
I'm petite at 158 cm and the midi hit mid-calf — still elegant, but I had it taken up 4 cm. Otherwise flawless and so well made.
Heavier and far better finished than the photos suggest — French seams, a proper concealed zip, real weight to the pleats. Re-ordering in Basalt.
Bought Porpora for a christening, loved it so much I returned for Verde Antico. The sage is unexpected and so chic.
The pleats catch the light and the cutout is just enough. Felt expensive and looked it. Shipping was quick and the box was beautiful.

The bodice and skirt are fully lined and completely opaque — no slip required. Only the flutter sleeves are very lightly sheer, by design.
True to size through the waist and skirt. The bodice is tailored, so if you're fuller in the bust we'd suggest sizing up one. See the size guide for exact bust, waist and hip measurements.
It's cut to fall at mid-calf on a 175 cm model. At around 158 cm it sits a little lower — still elegant, and easily shortened by a tailor.
Gentle cold hand-wash and hang to dry; never tumble-dry. Cool iron on the reverse if needed. This preserves the knife pleats and the recycled-chiffon hand.
Very much so. Vermiglio and Porpora are favorites for evening occasions; Travertine and Avorio read beautifully for daytime weddings and garden parties.
The cutout sits high on the sternum, so a standard, adhesive or bandeau bra all work. The straps are a fixed 3 cm width.
