The body is held square and roomy, deep enough to swallow a laptop and a folio without losing its line. A full fold-over flap closes the top, drawn down by twin vertical straps that buckle through antique brass onto two front patch pockets — the closure doubles as the bag's only ornament.
A rolled top handle sits high for the hand-carry; an adjustable strap clips off when the commute turns to a shoulder or a cross-body. Triangular stamped keepers and even saddle stitching run the length of the straps — the marks of a bag made to be used hard and kept for years.
