Hugo Caesar Tassi drew Caelia for the Iulia collection — a slim crescent sling that frees both hands and carries the essentials close.
The body curves to a clean half-moon in distressed crazy-horse leather, the kind of pull-up hide that deepens and softens with wear. A long zip runs the length of the top; below it a small flap pocket closes on a single antique-brass buckle, and a zip pocket sits at each end. Contrast tan saddle-stitching outlines every seam.
A wide adjustable webbing strap with an antique-brass quick-release buckle lets it ride high across the chest or low at the hip. It is a quiet, practical thing — built to be lived in and to wear its years well.

Crazy-horse leather takes its name from the waxed finish that lightens where it bends and folds, so every bag earns its own map of marks over time. The grain reads rich and warm in low afternoon light, the surface scuffing gently into character rather than damage.

Six weeks of daily wear and the crazy-horse leather has darkened beautifully where my hand rests on the flap. Every scuff just deepens into the patina. The Cuoio was a warm honey when it arrived and it's edging toward caramel now. I adore it.
The crescent shape hugs my hip instead of swinging about, which is exactly what I wanted from a sling. It stays put when I walk and the strap doesn't dig.
I hovered between taking it as my snug everyday or letting it sit a touch looser across me, and went with the relaxed drape, which I love for layering over a coat. If you'd rather it sat closer and neater to the body, set the buckle a notch tighter from the start. The crazy-horse leather and warm brass are flawless either way.
What sold me was the antique-brass buckle. None of that bright shiny gold tone that screams cheap. It's warm and muted, almost aged-looking, and it pairs with the tan leather like they were always meant to be together. Genuinely lovely hardware.
Entirely my own doing. The checkout hesitated on my end and I tapped through again, so two of these arrived a few days apart. The bag itself is wonderful, the distressed tan leather and that lovely aged buckle are everything I hoped, I simply only needed the one. Sorting out the return of the spare now.

Slipped my phone, keys, a slim card holder and a lipstick into the flap pocket with room to spare. Wore it round the markets from morning till the light went and never once needed to shift it off my shoulder. Light, easy, no fuss.
For three hundred odd dollars I expected nice. I did not expect this. The grain, the weight in the hand, the way the buckle catches the light. People assume I spent triple.
The box that turned up first had clearly been through the wars, crushed at one corner and the leather pressed out of shape inside. Disheartening to open. The atelier sent a fresh one which came through untouched and is genuinely beautiful, the crescent shape and crazy-horse hide just as I'd hoped. The product was never the problem, the shipping the first time round was.

There's something very Italian-afternoon about it. Slung across a linen shirt it looks like I've owned it for years.
My first order never showed at all. Tracking stalled and the carrier eventually admitted they'd misplaced it somewhere between depots. Once I raised it, the atelier got a second one moving without quibbling and it reached me safely. The sling is lovely, the warm brass and supple distressed leather are exactly the day bag I wanted. The courier losing the first parcel is the only reason for the rating.

I was nervous ordering distressed leather online because so often it reads fake, like someone took sandpaper to a plastic-y hide. This is the real thing. The crazy-horse finish has those soft lighter pulls along the curve that shift when you press them. Authentic and gorgeous.
