Hugo Caesar Tassi drew Laurea for the Iulia collection — a layered necklace that does the work of two pieces in a single clasp.
The upper strand is a close row of round natural pearls, sized small and even, sitting snug at the base of the throat like a soft collar of light. Below it a finer silver chain hangs a little longer, set at intervals with tiny stations — a small pearl and a polished silver bead — so the line is never quite plain.
Worn together the two strands layer without tangling, the pearls close and the chain loose, framing the collarbone with a restraint that suits both a linen morning and a late dinner.

The chain and findings are fine 999 silver — cool, luminous and light, the kind of metal that disappears against the skin and lets the pearls carry the eye. Each link catches a thread of afternoon light along the lower strand.
The pearls are natural freshwater, round and softly lustrous, their cream warmth reading honestly against warm skin. Laurea is offered in Argento for the silver chain and Avorio for the pearls that define it.
What she said after wearing it
The layered look without the morning fuss of stacking two separate chains and untangling them. That snug pearl row sits right at the base of my throat, and the longer silver strand with its little pearl stations falls just below. Brilliant design.
In the Avorio the pearls read warm rather than stark white, which suits my skin so much better than the bright cold pearls I usually avoid.
One-size, but they note it runs a touch long and I dithered, so I left the chain on its full setting for a looser, lower drape rather than a snug fit at the throat. It sits a bit lower on me than the close collar look in the photos — entirely my call, and I love how the pearl stations fall mid-chest this way. If you want that high snug row, hook it on the shorter loop.
Bought it for my mother's birthday and she actually teared up. The double row gives it presence, but it's quiet enough that she'll wear it to the shops and to lunch alike. Posting it abroad to her was painless too.

The little silver fastening is small but grips firmly and hasn't loosened once. I was nervous about a two-strand piece tangling at the back, but the strands stay independent and behave.
The silver chain throws a clean cool light over a dark jumper. Those alternating pearl-and-silver stations on the lower strand keep it from looking like a plain chain. Considered, not flashy.
