Hugo Caesar Tassi drew Matidia for the Livia collection — a pointed court pump pared back to its essentials and finished in deep cobalt.
The toe tapers to a clean point and the vamp is cut low across the foot, so the shoe reads long and quiet on the line of the leg. There is no strap and no buckle: a single sweep of snake-embossed leather closes around a tall, needle-slim stiletto heel.
Inside, a smooth nude leather lining sets off the saturated blue of the upper, while a strip of natural-tan leather runs along the sole edge — the only warm note against the cobalt.

The upper is embossed with a fine diamond python grain that catches raking light, lending the deep cobalt a shifting, lacquered surface rather than a flat block of colour. In low afternoon light it reads near-navy; under brighter light the blue lifts and the scales come forward.

What she said after wearing it
The snake-embossed surface catches light in a way a flat blue never would — in proper daylight it shifts between a deep ink and a brighter cobalt depending how I move. A pointed court that actually feels considered.
Wore them under tailored trousers for a client morning, then straight on to drinks without a thought of changing. The low-throat vamp keeps them looking sharp rather than fussy, and the heel is tall but I never felt teetery.
The shoe itself is faultless — the cobalt is rich, the point is elegant and the heel is steadier than its height suggests. On me the vamp sits a touch open across the top of the foot, so I'll pop a small insole pad in to snug it. Entirely a quirk of my own narrow foot, nothing to do with the make, and I'd buy them again tomorrow.
The point is properly elongating without crossing into uncomfortable. My foot doesn't feel crammed at the end the way it does in cheaper pointed courts.
I was after one good evening shoe that wasn't black, and this answered it. The shine reads expensive, the colour reads considered, and nobody believes me when I say what I paid.
These are exactly the elegant cobalt court I hoped for — the embossed shine is beautiful and the heel is wearable. These do something quietly dramatic peeking out from under a long trouser. The clean single-piece line and that fine heel make my ankle look about a mile longer.
Let me start with the good — the shoes are wonderful, a deep cobalt that glows and a heel I can actually stand in all night. The delivery went sideways though: the driver handed my box to someone further along the road without a card or a note, and it took me the better part of three days of knocking on doors to work out where it had ended up. The pumps were perfect once I had them, but getting them was an ordeal.

So many cobalt shoes go gaudy or too royal. This is a deep, sophisticated blue — saturated but never costumey. It works with charcoal, with camel, with cream, even with black.
