Drusilla takes the discipline of tailoring and softens it into a dress. A sharp notch lapel crosses into a double-breasted waist, where two buttons draw the eye to the narrowest point.
From there a wrapped waistband releases into a clean A-line skirt with a quiet wrap-front panel and discreet side pockets, finishing precisely at mid-calf.

The cloth is a tightly woven poplin with a clean matte finish, substantial enough to keep the lapel and waistband sharp yet supple where the skirt falls.

Online the colour read almost beige, but in real daylight the Travertine has this warm, sandy depth with a faint grey undertone. It's the kind of neutral that makes everything else I own look more expensive next to it.

The dress is lovely, the crepe has a beautiful weight and the A-line really swings. Getting hold of it was the problem. The courier handed it off to someone further down my road without telling me, and I spent the next few days knocking on doors trying to work out where my parcel had gone. By the time I finally had it in my hands I was thoroughly fed up, though the coat-dress itself was worth the chase.

I've spent a fortune on structured coat-dresses that needed dry-cleaning after one wear. This one keeps its shape all day, the double-breasted front stays flat, and it hangs back out beautifully overnight.
Fitted through the waist, then it releases into that clean A-line over the hips, so it skims rather than grips. Flattering on a body that is not a straight line, which most tailored things forget about.
